Bike Map of Aquidneck Island and Guide to Coastal Access
Published in 2012.
Map dimensions: 17.5″ (44.5 cm) wide x 21.5″ (54.6 cm) tall unfolded, and folds to 3.5″ (8.9 cm) wide x 5.375″ (13.7 cm) tall
This fine new map, created with both islanders and visitors in mind, features a comprehensive list of the over 90 coastal access points found in Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth. Many of these access points do not allow parking, and thus, with this guide, bicyclers will have a great way to gain access to parts of the coast they may not otherwise visit. In addition to the coastal guide, the map shows distances in both miles and kilometers between many intersections, identifies scenic roads, and marks various walking trails on the island, such as the Cliff Walk, the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the Bay Walk at Fort Adams, Sachuest National Wildlife Refuge and the Newport Harbor Walk.
